Join master draftsperson Glenn Vilppu, as he teaches you a drawing approach rooted in the Renaissance tradition. Using a variety of drawing media, you will learn to combine gesture, constructive forms, and anatomy to create dynamic drawings that seem to leap right off of the page. This class follows the format of Glenn’s popular drawing book: Vilppu Drawing Manual.

In this highly-anticipated series, master draftsman Glenn Vilppu shares with you his approach to figure drawing. Each lesson will cover a new stage in Glenn’s process, including: Gesture, Spherical Forms, Box Forms, Cylindrical Forms, Basic Procedure, Modeling Tone, Direct Lighting, and Atmosphere. In this first lesson of the series, Glenn covers the basic foundation.
